On Wednesday 18 March 2026, the Luxembourg-based arm of European fintech company Unzer announced the launch of Unzer Financial Services, a banking solution which combines a business account and commercial card with Unzer’s in-store and online payment capabilities, giving merchants real-time visibility over revenues, spending and cash flow within one connected ecosystem.

According to Unzer, the product includes a free business account and commercial card with no monthly fees. Funds are available directly after settlement, enabling merchants to access and use their revenues quickly. The commercial card operates on the Mastercard network and offers cash back on eligible spending. Merchants can also benefit from cash back on eligible card spending. 

The service is provided via the Luxembourg subsidiary Unzer Luxembourg and is subject to supervision by the Commission de Surveillance du Secteur Financier (CSSF), Luxembourg’s main financial regulator.

Robert Bueninck, CEO at Unzer, said: “With Unzer Financial Services, we are bringing payments and banking closer together. This is an important step in building our unified commerce offering. Our goal is to simplify financial processes and give merchants the tools to manage their money, so they can focus on running and growing their business.”

The service will launch initially for merchants in Germany and Austria, with additional European markets to follow. 

Merchants in Luxembourg can utilise the new service, provided they accept a German IBAN.
