The European Parliament Liaison Office in Luxembourg and its partners have announced five screenings of the films nominated for the LUX Audience Award 2026.
Three of the screenings will be followed by a discussion with Members of the European Parliament (MEPs) and other guests, during which the audience is encouraged to actively participate.
Most of the screenings will take place at Ciné Utopia in Luxembourg-Limpertsberg, with the final screening taking place at Europa Expérience Luxembourg in Luxembourg-Kirchberg. All screenings will begin at 18:30. Admission is free of charge but reservations are required (click here).

- Thursday 29 January 2026 @ Ciné Utopia: Screening and discussion of It Was Just an Accident by Jafar Panahi (Persian & Farsi with English SDH subtitles) with MEP Isabel Wiseler (CSV / EPP) and Raha Raz, director and visual artist
- Friday 30 January 2026 @ Ciné Utopia: Screening and discussion of Love Me Tender by Anna Cazenave Cambet (French with English SDH subtitles) with Marc Angel, Quaestor of the European Parliament (LSAP / S&D)
- Tuesday 3 February 2026 @ Ciné Utopia: Screening of Christy by Brendan Canty (English with French SDH subtitles)
- Thursday 5 February 2026 @ Europa Experience Luxembourg: Screening and discussion of Deaf (Spanish Sign Language with English and German SDH subtitles) with MEP Tilly Metz (The Greens / EFA) and Christine Zimmer, Head of Department at Info-Handicap
The screenings are being organised in cooperation with the Representation of the European Commission in Luxembourg, Cineast, the Institut Pierre Werner (IPW), Creative Europe Media, the European Film Academy and Europa Cinemas.
The LUX Award celebrates European cinema by recognising socially engaged films that address current socio-political issues and reflect the fundamental values of the European Union. The winner is chosen through a joint vote by European citizens and MEPs, thus illustrating the participatory and democratic nature of the award.
