The Luxembourg co-production "All We Imagine as Light" with the involvement of Les Films Fauves has received two nominations for the 2025 Golden Globes which are to be held on 5 January 2025.
The Golden Globe Awards recognise outstanding achievements in both international film and television. Established in 1944, this prestigious annual ceremony always precedes the Oscars and serves as a key predictor for Academy Award nominations.
The 1 hour 58 minutes film, a co-production with France, India, the Netherlands, Italy, Switzerland, United States and Belgium, has received nominations for two categories: Best Director Motion Picture, and Best Non-English Language Motion Picture.
Directed and written by Payal Kapadia, "All We Imagine as Light" is set in Mumbai, India. It tells the story of Nurse Prabha whose routine is troubled when she receives an unexpected gift from her estranged husband. Meanwhile, her younger roommate, Anu, tries in vain to find a spot in the city to be intimate with her boyfriend, with a trip to a beach town allowing them to find a space for their desires to manifest.
