The second edition of the "Lost Weekend 48h Film Challenge", organised by Filmreakter asbl, took place in Luxembourg from 5 to 7 March 2021.

This year's edition of the challenge brought together 21 teams of participants who had 48 hours in which to make a short film.

On Tuesday 9 March 2021, within the framework of the 11th edition of the Luxembourg City Film Festival (LuxFilmFest), this year's winners were announced. The jury, along with Florence Ahlborn and Maité Schenten from the Œuvre Nationale de Secours Grande-Duchesse Charlotte (which supported the competition), presented eight prizes to the following teams:

- The Best Editing Award and the Best Cinematography Award went to the ROUTINE team for their film "23 HOURS"
- The Cheesegrater Prop Award went to the HFUHRUHURR team for their film "McGUFFIN"
- The Georgina Dialogue Award went to the SHORT CATCHY NAME team for their film "WHITEOUT"
- The Stella! Acting Award went to the actors of the team THE BIGGER LEBOWSKI and their film "LONG LIVE THE HIVE"
- The Best Concept Award went to the FOQUS team for their film "TERRESTIAL"
Special Mention and the Audience Award went to the D’SCHNUPPSTÄREN team for their film "CODE 4.9"
- The Coffeepot Jury Award went to the SKIN team with their film "NOSTROMO"

This year's jury was made up of the actress Fabienne Hollwege, photographer Véronique Kolber, actor Nilton Martins, storyteller Betsy Dentzer and music producer Max Hochmuth.

The whole event was livestreamed on YouTube and attracted over 1,000 views, as well as more than 500 online voting participants for the Audience Award.

All the films can now be viewed for free on www.lostweekend.lu.

Lost Weekend is organised by the Filmreakter network of filmmakers, in collaboration with LuxFilmFest and with the support of the Œuvre Nationale de Secours Grande-Duchesse Charlotte. The third edition of the film challenge will take place as part of LuxFilmFest 2022.
