Sophie Kershen, the former Manager of the British Chamber of Commerce (BCC) for Luxembourg, has been awarded an MBE for her services.

Having recently retired from the position of Manager of the BCC, Sophie Kerschen received an MBE in this year’s Queen’s Birthday Honours List for, according to the British Embassy in Luxembourg, "her services to UK/Luxembourg commercial and business relations" over the past 20 years.

Sophie Kerschen started off as the first-ever employee of the BCC and played an instrumental role in the evolution and growth of the Chamber over the years.

An MBE, or the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire, is an award within the British order of chivalry that rewards contributions to the arts and sciences, work with charitable and welfare organisations and public service.
