The Grand Ducal Police has reported several recent incidents, including a theft involving violence and burglaries in different locations across Luxembourg.

Several burglaries were reported on Monday 4 May 2026. One such incident took place in the afternoon at a single-family house in Rue Munster in Luxembourg City. According to initial information, the perpetrators gained access through the cellar door and, among other items, stole bottles of wine.

Another burglary occurred in an apartment in a multi-family building in Rue Dicks in Remich. According to initial information, the burglars smashed a window and ransacked the apartment.

The following day, in the afternoon, a theft involving violence took place shortly after 15:50 in Rue Glesener in the Luxembourg-Gare district. According to initial information, a man was approached by two perpetrators and then pushed, after which they stole his mobile phone and fled the scene. The victim was not injured. The investigation is ongoing.

In all cases, investigations have been launched. The police also reminded the public that preventive advice on how to protect against burglaries is available on their website.
