On Thursday 23 April 2026, the Grand Ducal Police reported multiple drug-related offences following checks in Differdange, Petange and Rodange which took place on Wednesday 22 April.

According to the police, on Wednesday afternoon, officers, with the support of a drug detection dog from the canine unit, carried out inspections of several licensed premises in Differdange, as well as in Petange and Rodange. In addition to the checks relating to licensing legislation, individuals present were also inspected.

In four cases, a fine was issued, where the individuals concerned were in possession of less than or equal to three grams of cannabis. 

Three individuals were found to be carrying more than three grams of hashish and reports were drawn up accordingly.
