On Tuesday 21 April 2026, the Grand Ducal Police reported that multiple fines were issued to drivers following speed checks on the N7 between Marnach and Hosingen.
According to the police, on Tuesday morning speed checks were carried out on the N7 between Marnach and Hosingen, where the speed is currently limited to 70 km/h due to roadworks.
During the operation, eleven drivers exceeded the maximum permitted speed by more than 20 km/h and were issued fines (€145 and two penalty points). In three cases, the permitted speed was exceeded by up to 20 kilometres per hour (€49).
In one case, a report had to be drawn up, as the driver was recorded travelling at 110 km/h.
