The Grand Ducal Police have reported arrests made on Thursday 16 and Friday 17 April 2026 in Luxembourg City, in connection with a violent theft and a burglary.
On Thursday evening, police were informed of the theft of a mobile phone in the Luxembourg-Gare district. According to initial information, a police patrol attended the scene and located the victim as well as two suspects. One of the suspects was arrested on the order of the public prosecutor’s office and brought before an investigating judge. The second suspect was a minor, for whom a report was drawn up.
During the night of Friday, a burglary was reported at a single-family house on Rue de la Paix in Luxembourg City. According to initial information, two suspects gained entry by smashing a window and searched the premises. A police patrol responded immediately and apprehended both individuals at the scene. On the order of the public prosecutor’s office, both suspects were arrested and brought before an investigating judge on Friday morning.
