On Thursday 16 April 2026, the College of the Mayor and Aldermen inaugurated the new “Pop-up Hub” located on rue St Ulric, in the former LUGA Science Hub at the entrance to the Pétrusse Valley park in Luxembourg-Grund.

The initiative aims to support creative activity and offer space for workshops and events in the city centre. Several tenants will animate the space until the end of September 2026 by offering classes, workshops and events

“Pop-up Yoga Space”, led by Maura Pianaro (Maura Explorer Yoga), will provide yoga classes for all levels throughout the week, alongside themed sessions such as Yoga for a Happy Back, Vinyasa Yoga on Beat, Slow Flow, Functional Yoga for Sports Enthusiasts, Rise & Shine Yoga and Inside Flow. More information is available on Instagram (@popupyoga.luxembourg).

“Art Empowers”, led by Khaled Ahmed, will offer creative workshops for both young people and adults, including candle making, jewellery and keychain creation, embroidery and painting sessions. More information is available on Instagram (@artempowers_lux).

The “Pop-up Hub” will also host the open-air library “D’Stad liest”, organised by the Lëtzebuerg City Bibliothèque. The 2026 edition will take place from 17 July to 1 August at Place St Ulric, offering a reading-friendly environment alongside a varied cultural programme.

The VdL noted that by offering short-term rental of commercial spaces, it allows creators, entrepreneurs and start-ups to test their products, services or concepts through direct contact with customers.

Owners of temporarily vacant commercial spaces who wish to join the project can contact the Economic and Commercial Development Unit of the VdL on tel.: +352 4796-5000, Monday to Friday from 9:00 to 12:00 and 14:00 to 17:00; or on email: dec@vdl.lu.
