The Grand Ducal Police have reported several robberies and thefts involving weapons and a firearm across Luxembourg on Friday 10 and Saturday 11 April 2026.

On Friday evening, police reported a robbery on Rue Nicolas Roth in Hautcharage, where, according to initial information, three men rang the doorbell of a single-family house, threatened the residents with a weapon and stole three mobile phones and a smartwatch before leaving the scene. Police launched an immediate search operation involving several units but officers did not locate the suspects and investigators have opened a case.

Another incident was reported at around 04:45 on Saturday, when police received a report of a robbery at a shop on Rue de la Libération in Dudelange. A man gained access to the premises, threatened two employees with a firearm and acted aggressively to force them to hand over cash before fleeing with the stolen money. Police deployed several units in a search operation, but officers did not find the suspect and investigations are ongoing.

Later that evening, police reported a violent theft at Luxembourg City central station, where two individuals approached a man, restrained him and demanded his mobile phone, after which officers identified and apprehended one suspect during the search operation and recovered stolen property. Following instructions from the public prosecutor’s office, authorities arrested the individual and brought him before an investigating judge.

Police continue to investigate all three incidents.
