The Grand Ducal Police have reported several thefts from vehicles, as well as a serious road accident involving a pedestrian, on Saturday 11 and Sunday 12 April 2026.
On Saturday morning, multiple vehicles parked in Rue du Vieux Moulin in Lamadelaine were targeted. According to initial information, unknown perpetrators gained access by smashing windows. Investigations have been launched.
During the night from Saturday to Sunday, shortly before midnight, a person was reported in Rue Elsy Jacobs in Schouweiler attempting to open a vehicle. A police patrol was able to apprehend the suspect during a search operation. A report was filed.

Separately, on Saturday evening, shortly before 21:00, police were informed of a traffic accident involving a car and a pedestrian in Rue Emile Mark in Differdange. According to initial information, the pedestrian was on a zebra crossing when they were struck by a vehicle travelling from Soleuvre towards Differdange. The pedestrian was seriously injured and taken to hospital for treatment.
The driver tested positive for alcohol and their driving licence was confiscated. On the orders of the public prosecutor’s office, the vehicle was seized and a report was filed.
