On Saturday 11 April 2026, the Grand Ducal Police reported that on the evening of Friday 10 April a police officer was struck by a vehicle in Folschette.
According to the initial information, on Friday evening a police patrol on Rue Principale in Folschette noticed a vehicle parked near a bus stop with several defects. While the officers were inspecting the vehicle, the driver returned to his car. However, he behaved in an uncooperative manner towards the officers, got into his vehicle and attempted to drive away. When the officers tried to prevent him from leaving, the driver drove against the leg of one of the officers. He was ultimately prevented from continuing his journey and officers drew up a report for resisting police authority.
The police also reported that on the evening of Friday 10 April, they received a report of a car being driven erratically in Niederkorn. A police patrol located the driver shortly afterwards. As the driver showed clear signs of alcohol consumption, a breathalyser test was administered. The test returned a positive result and a provisional driving ban was issued accordingly.
