The Grand Ducal Police have reported that several incidents involving suspected drug dealing and burglaries occurred on Tuesday 17 February 2026.

On Tuesday evening, a police patrol observed an exchange between two men on Rue du Fort Neipperg in Luxembourg City's railway station district (Luxembourg-Gare). After the exchange, the men went off in different directions. As officers suspected a drug-related transaction, they carried out a body search of both individuals.

The police found drugs on the suspected buyer and drugs, cash and a mobile phone on the suspected seller. On the orders of the public prosecutor’s office, the police arrested the suspected dealer, who was brought before an investigating judge on the morning of Wednesday 18 February 2026.

Later on Tuesday night, the police received a report of a burglary at a premises on Rue de Rollingergrund in Luxembourg-Mühlenbach. According to initial information, two men gained entry by breaking a window and stole a cash register, among other items.

The police immediately launched a search involving several units and located both suspects in a wooded area, where officers recovered the stolen items. On the orders of the public prosecutor’s office, the police arrested both men and brought them before an investigating judge.

The police noted they had also received reports of further burglaries. For example, on Tuesday evening, unknown perpetrators reportedly gained entry to a single-family home on Rue des Saules in Schrassig by breaking a window. Another burglary was reported the same evening at a house on Rue Prinzenberg in Pétange, where unknown suspects forced open a door and searched several rooms. Investigations are ongoing in all cases.
