On Tuesday 17 February 2026, the Grand Ducal Police reported the arrest of two suspects in connection with an armed robbery carried out in an apartment in Luxembourg-Gare district earlier this month.

According to initial information, on the evening of Monday 2 February 2026, two women were robbed by two perpetrators who brandished a weapon and stole cash, mobile phones and an apartment key. Initial investigations indicated that the victims and one of the suspects were known to each other, with the latter allegedly having acted as their pimp in the past.

As part of the investigation launched immediately by the Criminal Police’s “Répression Grand Banditisme” department, one suspect was identified and arrested on Wednesday 4 February 2026 on the orders of the Public Prosecutor’s Office. The second suspect was subsequently apprehended in Leudelange on Thursday 12 February 2026 and brought before an investigating judge on the morning of Friday 13 February 2026.

The investigating judge issued arrest warrants in both cases. The investigation concerns charges of human trafficking, pimping and robbery.
