The Grand Ducal Police have reported several arrests in connection with a burglary, an assault and thefts from vehicles that occurred on Tuesday 10 February 2026 in Dudelange and Luxembourg City.
On Tuesday morning, a burglary was reported at an apartment in a multi-family building on Avenue Grande-Duchesse Charlotte in Dudelange. According to initial information, several perpetrators gained access by smashing a balcony door and stole, among other items, a television and a PlayStation.
As part of the investigation, two suspects were apprehended shortly afterwards. Various stolen items were recovered and returned to the owner. On the orders of the Public Prosecutor’s Office, the two alleged perpetrators were arrested and brought before an investigating judge on Wednesday 11 February 2026.
On Tuesday afternoon, a fight involving four individuals was reported in the Luxembourg-Gare district. A police patrol attended the scene and located two men, who were separated. According to initial information, one of the men had allegedly stolen cash from the other several hours earlier. The latter is said to have subsequently made death threats. Later that afternoon, the man accused of stealing the cash was reportedly held by one individual while two others struck him.
On the instructions of the Public Prosecutor’s Office, a suspect was arrested and is due to be brought before an investigating judge on Wednesday afternoon.
Also on Tuesday afternoon, police received a report of thefts from two vans parked in Rue de Strasbourg in the Luxembourg-Gare district. According to initial information, two perpetrators smashed a window in each vehicle and stole several items.
The two suspects were apprehended shortly afterwards near Place de la Gare. Stolen goods were found on one of the men, while tools were seized from the other. Both were arrested on the orders of the Public Prosecutor’s Office and brought before an investigating judge on Wednesday morning.
