The Grand Ducal Police have announced that, on the morning of Friday 23 January 2026, they received a report of a robbery in the Rue de Strasbourg in Luxembourg-Gare.
According to initial reports, two perpetrators stole a man's necklace, with the victim sustaining minor injuries. Both perpetrators then fled in an unknown direction.
A police patrol later encountered two suspicious men at the main train station. During a search of the two suspects, the victim's necklace, other jewellery, and a small quantity of drugs were found and confiscated.
On the orders of the public prosecutor, both men were arrested and brought before a judge.
