The Grand Ducal Police have reported that they carried out public transport checks in Luxembourg City on Tuesday 13 January 2026.
In the afternoon and early evening, officers carried out checks on public transport in the capital, focusing on the tram between the Central Railway Station (Gare Centrale) and Hamilius stops, as well as at the Rout Bréck - Pafendall stop in the Kirchberg district. The operation aimed to maintain a general police presence on public transport, at stops and in surrounding areas.
During the checks, two individuals were flagged. One underwent identification procedures, while another received a warning and a fine for violating drug laws.
A total of fifteen police officers, supported by one member of the canine unit, participated in the operation.
