MeteoLux Issues Rain & Wind Warnings for Luxembourg

Luxembourg’s national weather portal, MeteoLux, has issued yellow weather warnings (indicating “potential danger”) for rain and wind across the Grand Duchy.

The rain warning is in effect nationwide from Thursday 8 January at 18:00 until Saturday 10 January at 00:00. During this period, accumulated rainfall of 30 to 40 l/m² is expected over 24 hours, with the western part of the country likely to be the most affected.

In addition, a wind warning will apply nationwide on Friday 9 January from 02:00 to 17:00, with south-westerly gusts of 70 to 80 km/h, and local gusts reaching up to 90 km/h, forecast.
