The Grand Ducal Police have reported that a drink-driving accident took place in Luxembourg-Bonnevoie on Wednesday 7 January 2026.
The accident occurred at around 22:50 on the Rocade de Bonnevoie, where a vehicle collided with two railings on the footpath before hitting a lamppost.
Due to the damage caused and car parts scattered around the scene, the road had to be temporarily closed.
The driver, who was not injured in the accident, underwent a breathalyser test, which came back positive. As a result, the police issued a provisional driving ban.
