Auberge de Jeunesse de Luxembourg has announced that from Thursday 1 January 2025, the youth hostel association is officially part of the ‘Carte Jeunes’ (European Youth Card) programme.
The popular discount and benefits programme for young people aged twelve to 30 has over 8 million members in more than 40 countries, offering access to thousands of discounts and benefits in Luxembourg and across Europe, in the areas of culture, sport, travel, training and shopping.
The youth hostel association said it already had a long-standing collaborative history with the European Youth Card and anyone who joined the youth hostel association in recent years was automatically issued with a Youth Card. They noted that this successful partnership demonstrated the strong alignment of their missions and values.
The association said that integrating this project marked a new stage in the partnership and established the Youth Card as a valuable resource for young people in Luxembourg, supporting them in their travels, commitments and engagement with Europe.
The Youth Card is now priced at €10 (down from €12) and is also available via a mobile app for added convenience. It is aimed at young people living in Luxembourg or within a 30 km radius.
Auberge de Jeunesse de Luxembourg said it has a number of initiatives planned for 2026, including:
• expanded partnerships with local businesses and cultural institutions;
• stronger networking with European EYCA organisations;
• programmes such as DiscoverEU, which offer free travel across Europe;
• Events and workshops aimed at promoting European exchanges;
