The Grand Ducal Police have reported that two incidents of public disorder on Monday 22 December 2025 resulted in the detainment of two individuals in Luxembourg City.
According to the initial report, at approximately 12:50 on Monday, the police were alerted to a heavily intoxicated person in Luxembourg-Bonnevoie who was throwing bottles around inside licensed premises. During the check, the man was uncooperative towards the officers and due to his severe state of intoxication, officers agreed he posed a danger to himself and to others. Following a medical examination, the man was detained.
Later the same day, at approximately 19.30, the police were informed of a heavily intoxicated person on Place de la Gare in Luxembourg-Gare. During a check by officers, the man was extremely agitated and could not be calmed. Owing to his severe state of intoxication and the fact that he posed a danger to himself and to others, he was detained following a medical examination.
