The Grand Ducal Police have reported that a man was arrested following an incident involving insults and threats in Luxembourg City.
According to the police, in the late morning of Friday 19 December 2025, officers were alerted to a disturbance in an office building on Rue Mercier, in the capital’s railway station district. The man was reportedly behaving aggressively, making death threats and insults, and was said to be carrying a stick. He had already drawn attention shortly beforehand and refused to leave the building.
A police patrol located the suspect on site and took him to the police station for further procedures. It was subsequently established that he was already known to the police. Acting on the instructions of the public prosecutor, he was arrested and brought before an investigating judge on the morning of Saturday 20 December 2025.
