
On Friday 21 February 2025, the Grand Ducal Police carried out a check in the Luxembourg-Gare district, focusing on violations of the Narcotics Act.
At around 16:00, a police patrol observed a handover between two people, which they suspected involved drugs. Both people were subsequently arrested, and they confiscated several drug pellets, cash and a mobile phone from the suspected drug dealer.
The police officers informed the public prosecutor's office who ordered a scan examination of the suspect, which was positive. The suspect was then arrested and brought before a judge on Saturday morning.
In a separate incident that happened early this morning, Saturday 22 February, police officers became aware of two people on rue Heinrich Heine in Luxembourg-Gare due to their suspicious behaviour. According to the police, since the two people included a suspected drug buyer and a drug dealer, both were checked. The police officers discovered several drug seals on the suspected drug dealer and a subsequent scan was negative. The public prosecutor's office ordered the arrest of the suspect.
