On the afternoon of Friday 14 February 2025, the Grand Ducal Police carried out a large-scale check in the capital's Gare district with a focus on drug and immigration legislation.

During the check, in which seventeen police officers and a drug-sniffing dog were involved, the police checked a total of 34 people.

Due to violations of drug legislation, the officers issued fines in three cases and drew up reports in four cases. The police discovered and confiscated cannabis, hashish, cocaine and ecstasy. In one case, a report was also drawn up for the illegal possession of weapons.

In two cases, the police issued “Fremdennotiz” reports (relating to immigration) and drew up protocols against the persons. Two of the people checked had their fingerprints taken.
