The Grand Ducal Police have reported that they responded to various disturbances at the main railway station in Luxembourg City on Saturday 9 November 2024.

On Saturday afternoon, at around 16:15, the police received reports of an individual who was sleeping in the tram at the main station and "smelled strongly of alcohol". The officers woke the person, who began to hit out. Deemed a danger to public order, himself and others, the intoxicated man was detained.

Later, at around 18:45, the CFL reported another individual at the main railway station who was causing a disturbance and throwing objects. Upon arrival, the officers found a "heavily intoxicated" person who did not follow their instructions. This individual was also detained until he sobered up.

Around midnight, a woman was reportedly screaming and spitting at passers-by at the main station. When the officers arrived, they decided to place her in the station's sobering cell due to her "heavily intoxicated" state and the risk posed to her own safety and that of others.
