Luxembourg's National Lottery (Loterie Nationale) has announced an "exclusive" and "exceptional" initiative to celebrate the 20th anniversary of EuroMillions.
On Friday 4 October 2024, the Luxembourg-exclusive Extralux additional game will offer a jackpot boosted to €1 million in the first tier, instead of the usual €100,000. This sum will remain in play until it is won.
Since its launch in 2004, EuroMillions has established itself as a major game across Europe, attracting millions of participants every Tuesday and Friday hoping to win the jackpot. As reported by Luxembourg's National Lottery, EuroMillions has created a community of loyal players through its "spectacular" winnings, and this anniversary marks a special opportunity to reward their loyalty.
The National Lottery has thus invited "thrill-seekers" to participate in the EuroMillions draws and this exclusive Luxembourg offer.
All proceeds generated by the National Lottery are used to finance, through the Œuvre Nationale de Secours Grande-Duchesse Charlotte, social, cultural, environmental and sporting projects in Luxembourg. Since 1945, the National Lottery has generated €543 million in profits, which have been entirely distributed to the Œuvre for its philanthropic missions.
