On Monday 26 August 2024, the Grand Ducal Police launched an appeal for witnesses to identify a deceased woman.
At around 07:10 on 18 August 2024, the police received reports of a seriously injured woman in Rue d'Alsace near Luxembourg-Gare.
When the emergency services arrived, they found the victim already unconscious. She was then taken to hospital, where she passed away on 21 August 2024.
As the identity of the victim is still unknown, the police are asking for help from the public. Anyone with information that could help clarify the identity of the unknown woman is asked to contact the Luxembourg police station via email or via tel.: 244-40-1000.
Update: On Friday 6 September 2024, the Grand Ducal Police confirmed that the identity of the woman had been established, and the appeal for information thus cancelled.
