Luxembourg's weather portal, MeteoLux, has issued a yellow ("potential danger") warning for potential thunderstorms on Saturday 29 and Sunday 30 June 2024.
The alert is in place across the Grand Duchy from 20:00 on Saturday until 13:00 on Sunday.
During this period, there is a risk of thunderstorms with the possibility of gusts up to 70-90 km/h, hail and accumulations of rain of up to 25 l/m² "in a short time", particularly in the evening.
Updated: The alert was previously in place until 01:00 on Sunday; the wind speed was expected to be 70-80 km/h and the rain accumulation was expected to range from 10-20 l/m².
