The Grand Ducal Police have reported that a stabbing took place in Luxembourg City in the early hours of Monday 17 June 2024.
The incident happened at around 12:40; the polcie were informed that a person had received a knife injury on their leg in the upper town (old town).
A police patrol arrived on the scene; their initial findings determined that an argument between two people got out of hand, during which one of them "ambushed" the victim and stabbed him in the leg with a knife before fleeing on foot.
The victim was taken to hospital; his injuries are understood not to be life-threatening.
An investigations into the circumstances surrounding the incident has been initiated.
