The Grand Ducal Police have reported a fatal road accident that occurred on Thursday 13 June 2024.
At around 16:30 on Thursday, a motorcycle accident occurred on the CR101 route between Schoenfels and Kopstal*. According to the emergency services, the 25-year-old motorcyclist involved in the accident died at the scene.
The cause of the accident is still under investigation. The road was closed to traffic for the duration of the rescue work.
*Update: The police later corrected the second place name from Mersch to Kopstal.
