The Grand Ducal Police have confirmed that two individuals were arrested in the afternoon of Wednesday 20 March 2024 in the Luxembourg-Bonnevoie area, on suspicion of dealing illegal drugs and illegal possession of a firearm.
On Wednesday afternoon, a man carrying a firearm was reported in Route de Thionville in Luxembourg-Bonnevoie.
A police patrol went to the scene and found two suspicious people. The officers were able to find and confiscate a weapon in the immediate vicinity.
During a body search of the two individuals, cocaine, cash and a mobile phone were seized from one man. Tablets, cash and a mobile phone were seized from the second man. In addition, three foreign objects were found in his mouth. During the scanner examination that was subsequently ordered, several foreign objects were also found in the suspect's body.
The two suspects were arrested by order of the public prosecutor's office.
