On Friday 8 March 2024, the Grand Ducal Police reported that two unknown perpetrators gained access to a house on Rue de Mâcon in Esch-Alzette under the pretext of wanting to collect donations for a charitable organisation on Thursday afternoon.
One of the perpetrators then asked for water; after the perpetrators left, the resident noticed that they had taken advantage of her brief lack of attention to steal her purse.
She contacted the police who immediately initiated a search, without any success.
An investigation has been initiated.
