A commemorative ceremony took place in Luxembourg City on Tuesday 23 January 2024, in memory of the victims of the Shoah.
Elisabeth Margue, Luxembourg’s Minister of Justice, Minister Delegate to the Prime Minister, participated in this ceremony observed ahead of Tuesday 27 January 2024. This day commemorates the International Day dedicated to the memory of the victims of the Holocaust and the liberation of the Nazi concentration camp Auschwitz-Birkenau on 27 January 1945.
Various members of the Luxembourg government paid their respects by participating in the memorial ceremony, including Lydie Polfer, mayor of the City of Luxembourg, Claude Wiseler, President of the Chamber of Deputies (Luxembourg's Parliament) and Corinne Cahen, MP, among others.
