On Friday 25 August 2023, the Grand Ducal Police reported that they arrested a suspect in relation to a case of deception in Mamer.
It transpired that on Thursday afternoon, a theft occurred on the Route de Holzem in Mamer, during which a young man stole money from a victim's purse on the pretext of collecting donations for a charity.
The police were contacted and, as part of a search initiated quickly, a young person who matched the description was located and was brought to the police station for questioning.
The police created a dossier for the crime that had been committed.
