The Grand Ducal Police have reported that the driver of a car involved in an accident on the A6 motorway on Wednesday 23 August 2023 has been hospitalised with serious injuries.
The accident happened at around 12:20 on the A6 motorway at the Croix de Gasperich. According to initial findings, a vehicle being driven in the direction of Belgium crashed into another vehicle that had stopped.
The driver of the stationary vehicle was seriously injured and had to be freed from her car by the fire department before she was taken to the hospital after receiving first aid at the scene of the accident.
The police forensics team were on site and an investigation into the cause of the accident was initiated. Three lanes were temporarily closed to traffic due to rescue and clearing work.
