Since the morning of Thursday 17 November 2022, a power failure within the CREOS network in the municipality of Berdorf has caused the interruption of the electricity supply within the village of Weilerbach.
This power cut affects the two accommodation structures of the National Reception Office (ONA) located on the municipal territory. The breakdown was probably due to bad weather and measures have already been taken by CREOS to restore electricity as soon as possible.
The Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs has announced that in order to guarantee the well-being of applicants for international protection (AIP) accommodated in these two accommodation structures, the ONA constantly monitors the situation on site. In particular, electric generators have been put in place by CREOS services in order to restore an electrical supply to the structures while waiting for the complete restoration of the network.
