The Grand Ducal Police have reported that a fatal shooting took place in Niederkorn in south-western Luxembourg on Monday morning.
The police received reports of shots being fired on Rue des Trevires in Niederkorn at around 10:00 on Monday 17 October 2022. Several police patrols rushed to the scene, where two people were found dead.
By order of the public prosecutor's office, the police arrested a 74-year-old male suspect at the scene. The victims were later confirmed to be the alleged perpetrator's neighbours: a 62-year-old woman and her 54-year-old husband, who had been killed outside their home.
