The Luxembourg Army held an open day at the Diekirch Military Centre on Sunday 10 July 2022; more than 16,500 people took the opportunity to discover the site and to learn about the Luxembourg Army.

An extensive programme was offered to visitors, including demonstrations in collaboration with other administrations, concerts, exhibitions of equipment and vehicles and a wide range of activities for children and adults. The Luxembourg Army deemed the proposed programme a success with visitors and said that it felt that this day showed the closeness between the population and the Luxembourg Army.

Luxembourg's Prime Minister Xavier Bettel and the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence, François Bausch, also attended the open day, visiting the premises, participating in the programme and having conversations with visitors.
