The Casino 2000 in Mondorf-les-Bains has confirmed that, last Friday 22 April 2022, a record jackpot was won on the Volcano Island slot machine.
One lucky customer, identified as Sandra (in her 40s, from Luxembourg), won a total of €218,315 at 18:23 on Friday evening. She revealed that she plans to give her husband a new car and open a kennel.
This is the fifth biggest jackpot in the history of CASINO 2OOO which has just celebrated its 39th anniversary. Other top winnings included:
- on 17 May 2007, one lucky player won €1,638,299
- in March 2011, another player won €686,348
- in June 2016, another player won €460,638 (the same player also won a first jackpot of more than €200,000 a few days earlier).
- January 2020, someone won €349,652.
Casino 2000 added that, on average, more than €17 million in jackpots (and cumulative prizes) are paid out per month.
