On Tuesday 22 February 2022, Luxembourg's Ministry of Finance announced that Minister Yuriko Backes has tested positive for COVID-19.
Minister Backes, who is fully vaccinated, tested positive for the virus following a PCR test. She immediately began self-isolating.
The Finance Minister will continue to perform her duties and functions via teleworking.
