The Grand Ducal Police have reported that a fatal accident occurred on a construction site in Esch-sur-Alzette around noon on Wednesday.
The police confirmed that a workplace accident took place on a construction site on Rue Zenon Bernard in Esch-sur-Alzette.
The victim was working in a dtich on the site when he was fatally injured in a landslide. According to the police, a steel structure that was supposed to secure the construction site area had given way.
Despite resuscitation efforts, the man died at the scene of the accident.
The public prosecutor's office was informed and the criminal investigation department was entrusted with the investigation. The Inspectorate of Labour and Mines was also notified and went to the site.
