The Grand Ducal Police have reported that a fatal work accident occurred in Luxembourg-Howald on Thursday morning.
At around 11:00 on Thursday, an accident occurred on a construction site in Rue des Scillas in Luxembourg-Howald. During demolition work in a hall, a 29-year-old man from the nearby French border area got caught in a steel girder.
The emergency physician and other rescue workers were on site. However, the victim died of serious injuries shortly after being admitted to hospital.
The public prosecutor's office entrusted the judicial police with the on-site investigation. Officials from the Inspectorate of Labour and Mines (Inspection du travail et des mines – ITM) were informed and went to the scene of the accident.
