The Chamber of Deputies, Luxembourg's Parliament, will be lit up blue this Saturday to mark the 75th anniversary of the United Nations (UN).
On Saturday 24 October 2020, the UN will celebrate its 75th anniversary. On this occasion, the President of Luxembourg's Chamber of Deputies, Fernand Etgen, recalled in a video address the important role of this international organisation in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.
Fernand Etgen stated: "The COVID-19 pandemic cruelly reminds us how necessary it is to cooperate across borders and how important it is to ensure that all the efforts made by previous generations are not undermined by nationalist ideologies which base the identity of an individual in relation to a nation".
This Saturday evening, the facade of the Chamber of Deputies will be illuminated in blue to mark the 75th anniversary of the UN.
