The Grand Ducal Police has reported that a serious traffic accident occurred on the CR358 in north-eastern Luxembourg on Sunday evening.
A motorist was driving along the CR358 from Haller (canton: Echternach) towards Savelborn (canton: Diekirch) on Sunday at around 17:20 when he / she drove his / her car straight into a field in a right-hand bend and it overturned.
The driver sustained serious injuries and was taken to hospital by helicopter after initial on-site emergency treatment.
According to the police, an investigation found that the motorist had been subject to a provisional driving ban since the day before. The public prosecutor's office ordered the vehicle to be confiscated and an accident report was drawn up.
