The Grand Ducal Police have confirmed that they carried out around 20 checks daily across Luxembourg during the week of 10-16 August 2020, to ensure compliance with the rules put in place to contain the spread of the coronavirus.
During this period, a total of around a dozen chargeable warnings (fines) and six formal reports were drawn up by police officers. Almost all of the violations cited were found in connection with bars / restaurants and their customers, where the closing hour or mask requirements were not observed.
No specific details of individual infringements were reported.
