The Grand Ducal Police have appealed for witnesses to an armed robbery at a bakery which took place this morning, 11 August 2020, at around 05:30.

Two perpetrators wearing black hoods broke into a bakery on rue du Pont in Echternach and threatened the staff member with a gun and asked her to hand over the contents of the cash register. 

However, when the bakery employee was unable to open the cash register immediately, the men fled on foot in an unknown direction.

Description:
- Perpetrator 1: around 18 years old, around 1.85m tall, wearing black clothing and a homemade black balaclava; spoke German with a Luxembourgish accent.
- Perpetrator 2: around 18 years old, around 1.60m tall, wearing black clothing and a homemade black balaclava; spoke German with a Luxembourgish accent.
