The Grand Ducal Police has reported a number of burglaries and break-ins that have been recorded over the last 24 hours (Saturday - Sunday), as follows:
- Break-ins on the bld Kennedy in Esch-sur-Alzette, on Rue de Belvaux in Esch-sur-Alzette, into a basement on Op der Heed in Luxembourg-Cents, into a basement on Rue Neuwies in Differdange, into an apartment on Bld Charles Marx in Luxembourg-Hollerich, into a house on Rue de l’Eglise in Strassen.
- A number of cars have also been broken into, including 2 cars on Rue des Tilleuls in Strassen, 2 cars in Luxembourg-Bonnevoie, 2 cars at Luxembourg-Gare, cars on Rue du Cimetière in Luxembourg-Bonnevoie, cars in Luxembourg-Kirchberg and cars on Ave Grand Duke Jean in Hesperange.
- And a number of bicycles were stolen, including on Rue Kremerich in Junglinster and on Ave Victor Hugo in Luxembourg-Limpertsberg.
In addition, a watch was stolen from a shop in Ettelbruck at around 16:30 on Saturday 6 June. According to reports, a thief stole a watch while the sales assistant was getting a watch from the shop window display. The thief is described as being male, of heavy build, around 1.7m all and aged 30-35 years old.
