Following the Luxembourg government's decision to extend the suspension of all large gatherings until 31 July 2020 in the context of COVID-19 (coronavirus), the City of Luxembourg has confirmed the cancellation of several events.

In addition to the Schueberfouer, the cancellation of which was announced yesterday, the following events have been cancelled in Luxembourg City:
 
• All concerts and entertainment planned on Place d'Armes and Place Guillaume II until 31 July 2020 inclusive;
• All flea markets until 31 July 2020 inclusive;
• Citizen participation meetings scheduled until 31 July 2020 inclusive;
• Special needs awareness weeks (April to June 2020);
• Parks Service open day (25 April 2020);
• “Literary Tuesdays” (28 April, 12 May, 9 June and 14 July 2020);
• Cessange Kiermes (1-5 May 2020);
• Mäertchen (2-17 May 2020);
• Vide-grenier (3 May, 7 June and 5 July 2020);
• Art in the Grund (3 May, 7 June and 5 July 2020);
• Merl Kiermes (22-26 May 2020);
• ING Night Marathon Luxembourg (23 May 2020);
• My Urban Piano (28 May to 21 June 2020);
• Gasperich Kiermes (6-9 June 2020);
• Theaterplage beach (June to September 2020);
• Rencontres sans frontières (14 June 2020);
• Sports for all - spring-summer (April to July 2020);
• Sports for all - outdoor for seniors (active 55+) (April to July 2020);
• Fête des Voisins ("Neighbours Day");
• Fête de la Musique (19 June 2020);
• Intra Urban Youth Dance Festival (21 June 2020);
• Future Talent Stage (21 June 2020);
• National Day (22 and 23 June 2020);
• City Skyliner (July and August 2020);
• “Kinnekswiss loves…” (3 and 4 July 2020);
• Bonnevoie Kiermes (10-14 July 2020);
• Blues’n Jazz Rallye (18 July 2020);
• Kanner in the City (31 July and 1 August 2020);
• Sports and relaxation on the “Kinnekswiss”;
• S.d.S. Sports Weeks (July to September 2020).
 
Beyond this date, Streeta(rt)nimation (8 August 2020) and the Schueberfouer (21 August to 9 September 2020) have been cancelled, as well.
 
Nevertheless, the bi-weekly market on Place Guillaume II will continue to be held every Wednesday and Saturday, Food Trucks may continue to offer a take-away service and Glacismaart will be held as scheduled on Saturdays 17 May, 21 June and 19 July 2020 for food products only.
