The Grand Ducal Police have announced the discovery of a man's body in the Moselle river on Thursday morning.

At around 08:40 on Thursday 16 April 2020, the Luxembourg Police received reports of a man's body discovered in the Moselle in Schengen. The emergency services were deployed to retrieve the body.

The public prosecutor's office investigated the crime scene and ordered an autopsy to clarify the cause of death.

According to police reports, the deceased man was a resident of the nearby French border region and had been reported missing since 5 April 2020.
